Click here for official ferry website Vacationers heading to Ocracoke, can partake of ferry reservations on either the Swan Quarter-to-Ocracoke or Cedar Island-to-Ocracoke routes. To travel on the Hatteras-to-Ocracoke route, plan to arrive early, as service is provided on a first come first served basis. Advance reservations are available and recommended but will require a credit card to process the reservation. Any passengers already in possession of tickets need to check in at the Ferry Terminal and keep in mind that tickets must be redeemed at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Driving Directions When leaving Ocracoke Island, visitors can choose from two ferry terminals. To travel to Hatteras Island, select the ferry terminal on N.C. 12 at the northern tip of the island.
